Dr. Paul Edmonds

Practice Owner

Born and raised in Central Oregon, Dr. Paul’s first horse was a black pony named Diamond. They spent hours riding the BLM and canal trails north of Bend. Little did he know then that his love of horses, adventure, and Central Oregon would lead to opening Black Diamond Equine Veterinary Clinic. 

Dr. Paul has been a practicing equine veterinarian since 2005. His unique sports medicine approach to treating horses delivers clients and their animals distinct and compassionate care.

Dr. Paul graduated with his DVM from Oregon State University. He met and married his wife, Dr. Caelli, during vet school. After graduating they packed up their horse trailer and moved to Texas to start their careers. Dr. Paul pursued his internship and ACVS surgical residency experience at Equine Sports Medicine and Surgery in Weatherford, Texas. 

These days, when he’s not working on horses, you’ll find Dr. Paul coaching his boys youth soccer teams, playing with his tractor, or mending fences on their small family farm.
